INMOTION
MRLG will bring the exclusive use of InMotion software and
systems to any project we work on with our partners
InMotion Mining Efficiency System
For over twenty years we have developed, tested and refined a proprietary mining efficiency application that has allowed us to improve productivity on the sites we have worked on by up to fifty percent.
Our efficiency tool and software, InMotion, has been used extensively by major mining OEMs to assist customers to maximise their investment in machinery and as a value-add to the machine life-cycle.

The MRLG team and OEMs have used InMotion reports to highlight and identify issues in mining operations that cause safety and performance issues, allowing sites to modify systems and operational practices towards optimised efficiency.

InMotion is designed to maximise mining output and minimise costs associated with fleet investment and running costs.
We have developed InMotion and designed the “InMotion Live” suite, to work as a set of critical eyes on every piece of equipment, across all mining applications and processes. InMotion provides constant feedback and monitoring of the entire circuit and fleet (Including circuit/s conditions, equipment and personnel performance) all to ensure safety with leaner running costs.
InMotion sets best practice methodologies as a baseline to ensure that efficient practices are implemented and sustained across all mining activities. InMotion provides directions for corrective actions whenever variations or inefficiencies are detected within the mining operation. InMotion offers MRLG and our partners fully optimised mining operations for highly profitable mining projects.

Using InMotion to Monitor and Improve Loading Rates

The tables below show an average of the machine BCM rates recorded by MRLG across more than 80 sites and 300 loading units around the world.

The blue bars (in the tables below) represent the average BCM per hour performance for machines that we have analysed on behalf of our clients. We have consistently seen that mining operations are not realising the full potential of their investment in mobile fleet. The orange bars show the actual machine potential in terms of BCM per hour (ie what the machine is actually capable of).

When we run the InMotion analysis tools over an operation, we typically find the gap in efficiency is due to:
-
Incorrect or inefficient machine and dig area set up
-
Circuit design and truck/dispatch management
-
Supervisor and Operator capability (skills and knowledge)
-
Operational systems and processes

The InMotion reports provide a detailed breakdown of all the inefficiencies, with the ROOT CAUSES of the inefficiency and production loss down to a very fine detail. The InMotion reports then become the basis for operator training plans, recommendations for procedural and practice change at site and guidelines for benchmarking against new and improved production outcomes (new mining KPIs).
